Although I was very young at the time my interest in music was growing at a rapid rate, Cliff Richard and The Shadows first single ‘Move It’ was released on the 29th August 1958. It is credited as being the first U.K. Rock n Roll song. Written by Ian Samwell on a London double-decker bus on the way to rehersals at Cliff’s house, it would peak at Number 2 on the U.K charts.
