Be My Baby. The Ronettes

Recorded in Los Angeles in the summer of 1963, this record is heralded as the ‘greatest pop record ever made’ and provided the basis and inspiration for the future pioneers of studio technique, The Beatles and The Beach Boys. Producer Phil Spector used a full orchestra on the track with additional backing vocals from Sonny and Cher. The lead vocal is by Veronica Bennett better known as Ronnie Spector. When you make records every now and again one works perfectly, this is one of them.
