Get Back. The Beatles.
In 1969 I was 15 years old, returning from school I watched the news. The Beatles had played on the rooftop of their own Apple Studios, the impromptu performance had caused chaos in the London streets below. Here is that iconic performance. The song ‘Get Back’ had started life as a ‘jam’ session on the 7th January 1969, by the 9th, McCartney had worked on the song and re presented it to the group. The Beatles recorded it on the 23rd January. Lennon plays lead guitar as Harrison had temporarily left the group on January 10th.
