Hey There Lonely Girl. Eddie Holman.

A soul classic and inspiring performance from Eddie Holman. I worked with him at Barbarella’s in Birmingham during 1972. This song was a Number 27 hit in 1963 for Ruby and The Romantics, then called ‘ Hey There Lonley Boy.’ In 1969 when Eddie was asked to record the song, he declined, but did so after pressure from his wife, who was also his producer. It proved to be the biggest hit of his career making Number 2 in the U.S.A. charts in 1970.
