It’s Not Unusual. Tom Jones
Tom recorded this song as a demo intended for Sandie Shaw. On hearing the demo and Tom’s delivery, Shaw declined to record it and recommended Tom should record it himself. The piano is played by Reginald Dwight later to be world famous as Elton John. Tom’s single went to number 1 in the U.K. on the 9th of March 1965 and Number 10 in the U.S.A. in May of the same year. Here is a Jones performance a couple of weeks after ‘It’s Not Unusual’ was released.
