My career in the record industry started in 1973 when I joined Nems and Immediate Records as a Regional Promotions Manager, since then there has been many highs and lows, records that should have been hits and weren’t, and records that have become surprising huge sellers. Looking back, my career has three sections, the first 10 years were a learning curve, the next 10, involved my own company Impulse Promotions, which was aligned and co-in sided with the boom of Stock Aitken & Waterman through the 80’s. Finally, the past 10 years, the growth of a small independent label into the World’s largest independent label, Jive Records.

During the earlier years, artists were passing acquaintances, Elton John, David Bowie, Mariah Carey, David Cassidy, Cher, Genesis, Hall & Oates, Whitney Houston, The Eurythmics were in my life for a short period of time, it was a privilege to work with them and many others.

Later, through consistent hit making, stronger friendships were made, some continue to this day, others, due to travel and different career paths have waned, but will always come to the for, on chance meetings. My thanks will always go to, The Backstreet Boys, Aaliyah, Jason Donovan, Groove Armada, Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince, Tom Jones, Kylie Minogue, N’Sync, Billy Ocean, R.Kelly, Britney Spears, Steps, The Stone Roses, and Justin Timberlake.
